Does a Samsung J1 Ace require an ear plug to receive radio.

I have, recently, bought a wireless headset so that I can listen to the radio whilst I train. The headset has been linked to the phone, but the radio will not start without earplugs, as antennae. Is there anything I have overlooked?

Listening To Songs on a wireless Headset Will Work Flawlessly But On "Any Android" Phone You need a Wired Handfree to Listen To radio.
The Equipment especially the Wire would act as an Antenna To Boost signals.
