Does all 3.5mm earphones work with nexus 4?

I am from India. Not all earphones are available in India. So i just wanted to ask does all 3.5mm earphones work with nexus 4?
I am planning to buy either skullcandy or Sennheiser earphones.

Also please suggest me some good earphones.

Hi, Do you intend to use a mic as well?
if it's just for music , i just love my Sennheiser cx300II

Ive used several different Skullcandy and liked them.

Only headphones that may be an issue are ones that say made for iPhone. Even then, only the mic and control buttons will be an issue. Apple bastardized the 3.5 headphone market with proprietary technology so mics don't work on any other phone. Manufacturers have to choose compatibility and go with biggest market.

My Sony ear buds (L shape) keeps coming loose on my Nexus 4. No clue why since it worked fine on everything else.

skullcandy ink'd 2 ,will all the controls(volume buttons etc) are working fine can go for this ,how about sound quality

although i dont recall what model i had, you mentioned ink'd2, the audio quality on mine were excellent.
