Does an official OEM(bootloader) unlock through developer options void warranty?

So about a month ago I got a brand new Moto g4 unlocked from best buy, then went to Verizon and activated it. I then turned on developer options (as I do for all my android devices) and noticed I can unlock the bootloader there without root/installing programs. Does this method void your warranty, or is it not the same thing? Is this on all android 6.0.2 devices? Anything helps. Thanks!

it may. modified software means that they don't have to honor the warranty. the dev option toggle isn't the unlock though, you actually have to do it via fastboot to actually unlock it.

Oh OK thanks. So I guess the OEM unlock just makes it to were you can use fastboot? Obviously being a brand new phone I'm not going to mess with it but thanks
