Does android tv have something against headphones?

[Android Central Question]

I have a xiaomi mi box s. It works fine with any bluetooth speakers connected, but whenever i want to connect bluetooth headphones, they pair and connect just fine. The controls on the headphones work just fine, but music comes out with no sound, and restarts from when i play and oause, and videos refuse to play whatsoever. This happens with 2 pairs of headphones i've tried, which work with both my phone and pc when i connect via bluetooth, and the android tv works fine with 2 bluetooth speakers ive tried.
Does android tv have something against headphones?
