Does anyone else find the Google Voice Typing correction screen horribly cumbersome?

I can type very quickly with my voice, but sometimes even one single change takes four times as long as actually typing it just to fix it. Here's the precise screen I'm talking about.

It seems like the cursor always jumps to something else or does not suggest the right or if you hit backspace it deletes everything, it is just a mess of pop-ups.

It completely defeats the convenience and purpose of voice typing in the first place

It's not Dragon Naturally Speaking, it's Google's attempt at Speech to Text - and it's not all that good. In the above example, you should be able to say "word after go - tee aich ee are ee". Some day, when Google gets the software rewritten, we'll see that kind of ability. But compare it to 12 years ago, when S9 on a phone keypad was the best we had, and it's fantastic.

See, that's the thing. I Absolutely love Google's voice to text, and it's 99% accurate for me. However, when I need to make a simple correction, the execution is horrible. I'll just start closing the voice interface and correct it normally.

That's true the correction could be better , but I use Google speech to text in my Samsung phones as I don't like way Samsung works

I didn't even know you could correct with voice.

This. The GV2T corrections needs to have a go to keyboard option, so that one tap takes you to the keyboard with the curser at the word in question. Currently it takes an annoying three steps - exit corrections > exit GV2T > place curser where you want it.

Exactly, that's what I'm saying! Or you hit delete, and it deletes the entire sentance and not just the incorrect word.

Hey guys, I am new to this forum, but I have this exact same problem and I am curious if anyone has found a fix or workaround. I have contacted Google support 4 or 5 times but they offer no help. I am using a Pixel 3A and Google keyboard and on previous versions of Android, probably over 2 years ago, I was able to see a list of word suggestions when using voice to text. It is incredibly annoying to have to manually change words when using voice text. For a while after Google ruined their keyboad, Swiftkey offered this feature but it's now one from there as well Why would they delete such a useful feature?
