I thought both the M7 and M8 were awesome smartphones. But, I think it is getter harder for HTC to persuade buyers from Samsung or Nexus devices.

Why? I have a Samsung and am open to other manufacturers if they come up with an interesting product.

That haven't offered much that differentiates. Now that other manufacturers are going toward more premium hardware materials, what would be the draw? If you want the fastest Android experience you would probably go Nexus. If you want features; Samsung or LG. Of course, these are just my opinions.

M7 user here ... I've been searching all over Google using Google Now and Drippler to get all the updates on the Hima ( M9 ). I'm looking forward to when we can purchase it. I'm sitting here debating and contemplating getting the M8 and waiting to upgrade ( with Sprint ) in another year when its been out for a bit ...
