Does anyone here also have a S6?

Thanks everyone. I think I will just hang tough with my g4. I actually had to upgrade from the g3 with no time to think because it broke when I dropped it. I think this is why I wonder about my decision.

There is actually some really nice upgrades over that phone that I am enjoying. Eg the screen seems to pop and also the curve both wide and long seems to have this large phone just cradling nicely my hand.

When your S6 battery dies halfway through the day just swap in a new one and you'll be fine....oh wait...

So I have the G4 and ran into this situation... I was in the hospital and burned through my first battery in about 4 hours. Swapped in my second battery and burned through it. Mostly gaming, social media and web browsing... Here is the one problem.. No fast charging!!! My other battery was still charging and my battery in the phone was going down quickly. Here's where plugging in for 15-30 minutes and getting over half charge would be great

How fast does the S6 actually charge? I've heard numbers of 2%/minute for QC2.0, which admittedly is not what Samsung is using. In your scenario, 30 minutes would get you over a half-charge at that rate, which would be pretty nice. The best I've seen on my G4, using a QC2.0 charger, with the phone kept cool (screen off, etc), is 1.2%/minute.

I haven't tried to figure out how quickly LG's standard ("spare") charger charges. Probably not terribly fast. But at least you can be consistently charging the second battery, regardless of what you're doing with the phone itself. And you aren't tethered to the wall. Which in some cases, will be more important than quick charging (if you need to be outside, even QC 3.0 wouldn't help you very much).

If you're REALLY desperate for "non-stop" use, you could get an external-battery case, for whichever phone you select. Or, for the G4, buy an additional spare battery for $25.
