Does anyone know anything about TouchWiz?

Hi.

I was happily using my Samsung Galaxy S6 4G the other day when suddenly this system app called TouchWiz popped up. I noticed that it had already removed all my app icons from my various swipe screens. Outraged at this rogue app, I did a forced stop/disabled it.

But things got worse. My phone was now stuck on the Samsung logo. Alarmed at this (to put it mildly), I immediately drove to my nearest Vodafone store. They were unable to even do a factory reset of the phone! :-o They sent the phone off to Sydney for repair. I just got confirmation today that Vodafone's repair centre was unable to fix my phone so they are waiting on a replacement brand new phone.

I'm astonished that a S6 could just die like that. :-o Oh well, I hope a new S6 comes in stock soon. At least I get a brand new phone out of it.

Touch wiz is the O.S. tweak Samsung puts on vanilla android O.S. Phone died cause you disabled it. The phone needs Touch Wiz to work unless your rooted

Yes, Touchwiz is the UI Skin that Samsung uses on all of its device. Icons, app drawer, home screens, menu, settings, and etc are part of Touchwiz.

However, FC Touchwiz should not have caused it to do what you have described. It should have probably just went to a black screen for ~3-5 seconds then pop back up to your home screen. If you FC any app or service that the system needs to run, it will automatically restart it's self.
