This is the Android version head unit?

If so check XDA Forum or Forum for that head unit and see if they make different firmwares for it , it's stock and that's the way it works, if you hit the home page button to the left does it not take the AC controls away?

I checked XDA, no success.. and don't have any specific forum (XY Auto brand maybe), which button? the "ON"?

Yes, disappear after a few seconds, but I wish it never appeared.

Possibly it froze in that mode , does it have a small reset button u can out a paperclip to reset the unit?

Ahh ok , yeah then u need a custom firmware, what brand and model is it ? Might not have support if not popular

I think it's a XY Auto 9212B (I didn't buy it, the car already came with it)

Update is my last resort, because I saw a lot of people bricking after update and is not too easy to recover =/
