Does anyone know the pixel arrangement on the display?

My Lumia 930 has pentile, but at 440ppi I can't see pixels. On the 1020, which is pentile and 334ppi, I can. Figures are from memory but I think are right.

I was fully aware of the diamond pentile display of the Note 5. I'm also aware the Note has a pixel density of 518. The Google Pixel is 441. This does make a difference!

I just returned a OP3 because of the poor text on the display, there still is a pentile problem to my eyes at 401ppi. This is why I have a concern with the Google Pixel at 441, its better but very close. Not as good as the 518 on the Note 5.

So in other words I am satisfied with diamond pentile at 518ppi. I am not satisfied with pentile at 401. My iPhone 6s is fantastic at 326ppi non-pentile. Pentile is still an issue for those who favor sharp text.

What's it like to have the best eyes in the world?

What I meant on the first quote was it was a diamond arrangement and not a pentile in terms of what a pentile originally meant. I do not put pentile and diamond pixel in the same category. The OnePlus 3 which is the device initially used as not acceptable was pentile and had no diamond arrangement.

So to me this is how I see it:

iPhone 6s -No PenTile
Note 5 -Diamond Pixel (Even though technically its PenTile its a different class)
OnePlus 3 - PenTile

If Google Pixel is standard PenTile I am hoping the higher PPI will offset it.

Lol, no. "no pentile there" does not mean "not a pentile in terms of what a pentile originally meant" especially when it was in response to me saying if you had an Android you probably had a Pentile display. you just didn't know the Note 5 used a pentile display. While I'm sure your eyes can certainly tell if text is clear to you out not, they certainly cannot tell if a display made in the last few years is pentile. That's why you had to ask about the pixel, so you'd know if you needed to have a bias going in.
But it's cool. Whatever matters to you matters to you.
