Does anyone know what this icon means?

Hey everyone. Thanks for all of the replies. I had zoomed in so everyone could get a better look at it as it just came on and it wasn't charging or anything. Just pulled it out of my pocket and saw it. I looked everywhere to see if it was any Android icon but nothing so I figured it had to be an app. But I was mainly worried that it looked like a remote control or something I don't know. Just worried about private information.

Have you downloaded any new apps recently? Maybe delete some and see if the icon disappears.

I think I solved the mystery. In the last couple days I've had almost the same looking icon. When I pull down notifications, there are only 2 - an outlook mail notification icon, and one very very similar to what you have - it's a corrupted Boxer email notification icon. If you have boxer, that might be it. Otherwise, it's something else that's not showing the full icon - it's like only partially filled in - at least that's what mine looks like. I couldn't get a screenshot of it yet - I tried but the screenshot didn't show it for some reason. But when that weird notification icon showed up, the only 2 notifications I had were an Oulook email and a Boxer email. (Boxer is what my work forces me to use for Enterprise work email, contacts and calendaring). Your notification icon looks almost idential to my corrupted Boxer notification icon which clears when I clear or read the email. But it could be another program notification icon that's corrupted in its presentation. Does not affect my Boxer program in any way. This has all happened since the last Google update of Jan 5.
