Does anyone remember the Note 7 having a feature similar to guest mode for computers? I'm curious why the 8 doesnt have it.

Not sure about the note but my S7 had it and I miss it. They removed it and now I can't let my niece and nephew play with my phone.

I would really like to have that feature too, guest mode with a timer you can set so if someone wants to borrow you phone for a quick call you can set it to expire in a set number of minutes, same with data use, now I just don't let anyone use my phone but that is also because I don't want some plonker to drop it and have the hassle of repair and payment for same

Kids mode is what I configured for my kids to use. I can dedicate apps they use based on age.

I thought I was crazy. I was telling some friends about it and they were like no phone has that option. Does anyone know of a good app that maybe similar?

Phones are covered in bacteria. One of my staff members is a biology professor and one of the tasks he does every semester is have his class grow a culture from a swab on their phone. He does this because it always grosses the class out. The culture is saturated with bacteria.

So, if you want to be kind to the kids, don't share your phone. Treat it like a toothbrush.
