The first thing I did do is whitelist all the apps because I do not want to miss notifications etc. But I am doing a few things depending on what part of my day it is.
At Work, checking notifications and listening to music/podcasts
Power Plan: Smart
ROG: Enabled
At a concert with poor reception but still taking pictures
Power Plan: Smart
ROG: Disabled
Home, playing games, watching videos, surfing the social media seas
Power Plan: Performance
ROG: Disabled
I find that the ROG being enabled just makes the screen a little darker and less sharp to my eyes but perfectly fine for text messages and selecting playlists etc. The smart mode doesn't have a huge drag on my performance unless I am doing it a lot, it also doesn't seem to noticeably slow down the finger print sensor.
