I use it because I think the auto brightness is too aggressive. I use it on the Note 5 and the V10. I can't say I've noticed more SOT, but haven't noticed any less either.

I've been using it today with the brightness set to adjust "on wake." I got 2 hours of SOT! yesterday I got 5 hours when it was set to adjust "dynamically." I'm wondering if that's the reason for the huge discrepancy but I'm horrified with the change
