Does Datestamp Show the Year?

I used Settings in my Galaxy 9 to switch on timestamps or datestamps, and this year's photos show only the month and day. It's a new phone with no photos from any previous years. When the new year starts in January, will it automatically show the year with the month and day?

Hi, thanks. I signed up. I opened Gallery, selected Settings, and switched on Date and Location.

Thanks for that link. I tried PhotoStamp Camera Free but all it does is make copies of the photo with the current date instead of extracting the exif metadata. I'll try this app.
