Does Device Maintenance "Optimize Now" Actually Do Anything ?

I don't notice an issue, prior to finding that my Note 9 is only 85% optimized.
I don't notice any difference in performance, before or after.

It's just a button to press
No really it cleans ram ,frees up storage but I usually let that app take care of that.
Remember back in the s3 or s4 days when you go manually in to clear those things , it's similar.

See if you get any emails if optimization is on and power isn't being applied. You probably won't. Certain apps are kept turned off for optimization. It's not going to give you 3 days of heavy use on a charge, but it does help a little.

I was always one to clear the cache in main settings, storage.
I just found this page, which looks like the same thing.

See if you get any emails if optimization is on and power isn't being applied. You probably won't. Certain apps are kept turned off for optimization. It's not going to give you 3 days of heavy use on a charge, but it does help a little.

I apologize! I did wrote "battery optimization" in the thread title. I've since changed it.
I meant the phone optimization, on the first page of device maintenance.
