Smart switch coming from iPhone

So, I was a long time Android user who went to iPhone for the last few models. I love both platforms to be honest with you but the Z Fold 7 is bringing me back over.

With that said, I’ve never used Smart Switch from an iPhone. Is it recommended or should I just do a total fresh start? Does it carry over an eSIM or is that still something I’ll have to sort out through Verizon?

I used Smart Switch before and it worked good. It downloaded all my applications that are available in Android and Apple Store. If an application isn't on Android it just won't install it.
