Hey everyone,

Like most everyone I get my Evo on the 4th and this will be my first Android phone. From what I am reading, android/evo's app performance, camera performance, and video performance for apps can be or is affected by the speed of the card. With the price of these now at $90 bucks on Amazon and I super tempted to get one. Does the Evo support the new 16GB Class 10 cards and how much of a difference will it make?

$90 is too much. With 32 GB cards for sale, and soon to be available everywhere and in every class, $90 for a 16 GB is too much.

I'll wait for that price to drop before I go there.

I'm not sure about EVO's support of class 10 cards but here is an interesting writeup relating to the Kingston branded cards:

My sentiments exactly. I'm curious of the amount of recording time of a 16gb card as well. As soon as the EVO drops my bet is there willbe a few good buys available for them.

First of all, chill out.

Now to answer your question, yes it will be compatible. Class specifies the minimum write speed for the card. Unless you are planning on writing large amounts of data to the card, I wouldn't expect that you would notice much of a difference.

Corey... not to be rude but rather on point which is the purpose of a forum... Mind your own business. As the rules state... "Every post on the Android Central forums should add some sort of value to the forum, whether through technical value or community value."

Obviously, saltydawg's post failed to comply with the rules.

Did you really just tell me to mind my own business? I'm aware of the forum rules, I posted them. You might want to read the rest of them if you want to stick around.

Yes, I did as you were/are trolling. I read all of the rules and you did not post them but rather Jeremy Sikora did. After reading the rules, I found the following additional rule that lends further credence to my original response to saltydwag and my subsequent response to you.

"Taking Threads Off Topic - (aka Thread Crapping) While the
interplay of a conversation on these forums will naturally wander,
users must not intentionally try to derail a thread from its original
topic."
