does external sd have to be in fat32?

i mean id like a filesystem without the 4 gig size limit. i sometimes want to take high def movie rips to friends houses, i have a 32 gig external sd which would be ideal except for the movies are over 4 gig in size. im on rom Paragon RC5.1 thanks for replys in advance
