does fast charging the first charge diminish battery life?

i just bought a note edge and it automatically set to fast charge and i didnt realize you could turn that option off. would fast charging my battery for the first time diminish its life and duration?

No - Samsung wouldn't include a feature if it was going to damage the phone. The S6 has it turned on and so far I haven't been able to turn the feature off.

Note edge has an option to turn off fast charge. I did that and my battery life seems to be better.
