Need to hear from those who use Foxfi--does the mobile hotspot still work with this marshmallow update?

Tried it earlier today after update worked for me.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and eat meat in it.

Yes, in wifi mode.

New foxfi user here and have Samsung Note 4 with 6.0.1 on it. I am getting an. update notice from verizon to upgrade to Verizon MMB29M.N910VVRU2CPJ2. Anyone done this AND have foxfi still work? Thx

I just received an OTA update a few days ago (Feb 23 2017) that is reportedly an Android security patch and other undisclosed updates and fixes. Can anyone tell me if Foxfi still works after applying this update?

I couldn't find any information that indicated a problem with this update (to MMB29M.N910VVRS2CQB2) so I caved in and installed it. I can confirm that Foxfi still works as it did before.

This app will stop working to provide wifi hotspot on devices running Android 7.0 (Nougat) and higher.

The app relies on being able to place a trusted certificate on the users device. Nougat prevents this from happening.
It does appear that the app can still be used to provide USB tethering in Nougat though.
