I thought that the Beam feature was part of Jelly Bean, but I see on the specs of the new Razr M that it has the Beam feature and it is shipping with ICS.
Nope. Android Beam relies on NFC technology, which is hardware the Rezound does not have.
I'm assuming most high end phones will have NFC going forward, but I imagine it won't get popular until the iPhone embraces it. Here's hoping Apple includes NFC in the iPhone 5.
Yea, the SD card thing sounds like it would be only a sort of half-fix. That said, it's probably better than nothing. You can get an NFC enabled SD card but it doesn't truly open up NFC as it has to be used with a specific app written to take advantage of the non-standard feature. I have played with "beam" with two of my own phones and it's certainly not as cool as you'd think. But then again neither is Google wallet. I mean who WANTS to pay for things?
Just ignore that crazy talk.App-who? Are you in the right forum? lol
