Does it have GPS and/or NFC?!

I have seen some publications stating this watch does have this and other publications stating it does not. The NFC I could take or leave it, although it would be nice to have to use with android pay/Google wallet.

But no GPS? If it doesn't have this built in, how can I use the watch without my phone? I need directions sometimes and my phone is there for that. But not if I leave it at home and have just my watch. Also, if I am running, I like to know where and how far I have gone. I need GPS for this as well.

This is what has kept me from pre-ordering this watch.

The Verizon website shows it as being NFC HW capable. It doesn't mention GPS though.

Not really sure if this qualifies as GPS but it isnt on my G Watch or G watch R. Whats the best way to test this out?

Use the maps app away from your phone.

According to the manual, it does have its own GPS. So, that is confirmed. But no mention of NFC anywhere. Nor from specs posted by LG or AT&T. So, I assume NFC is not there.

Or the hardware's already there, but Android Wear has not supported NFC yet. Future software updates might help.

If I remember correctly, when I previously checked, both the Verizon and AT&T websites reported it had NFC. I attached a screenshot of AT&T's prior webpage for it where it reports that "Near Field Communication (NFC)" for the device is "Open, Secure".
