Does it make sense to go from a S4 to Note 3?

It does if you want the bigger screen / features that only the Note 3 has :).

This question's answer depends on if you need the s-pen or not. Other specs are just bonus. However, other way around the question is very easy one. I doubt very much, that I would go ever back to the S-series.

I may be doing the same, and think it makes complete sense. The spec bump in nearly every aspect and including additional software tweaks with the S-Pen make it worth it. I'm actually going from an S4 to a Dev Edition Moto X to try out the "stock" feel again. If I don't like it, I'll be selling it and buying an N3 in a couple weeks. I used a Note 2 for a couple months earlier this year. I loved everything about it aside from the size. Sometimes it was an issue. But I know if I gave it a little more time it would have just become the norm.

Many people will make the jump from the S4 to the Note 3...including myself. Does it make sense? Well, it's certainly not out of need.

I went from S3 --> Note 2 and haven't looked back :) don't intend to go to Note 3 either. From what I've read there isn't that much new stuff/difference between the 2 and the 3 to make me want to spend more money on my phone. At first I thought the size would put me off and I'd be sorry but I love it!

The display will seem huge, but after 2 weeks you'll grow accustomed to it. I mean there is a 14 day return policy as well....Sent from my SGH-M919 using AC Forums mobile app

I don't think it took me even 2 hours to get used to the size :)

I don't have an S4, but I made the switch from the S3 to the Note 2 and when the S4 came out, I was disappointed. It wasn't enough to make me want to leave the Note line again. Check out the specs for yourself and see if it's enough to make you switch. I personally couldn't imagine going to a device with a smaller screen after using the Note 2. The Note 3 is just going to simply be better.
This is me here too...
I knew once I went to a bigger screen that every other device would seem like a toy.
The screen size is good for showing pictures to people- watch video/movies- games etc..
I'm trading all my older Sprint devices in on an Atnt Note 3. I can not wait to unleash the BEAST on 4G ! :D

You switched from S4? Let me know if you have any problems getting used to it.

My Samsung history is S3 to Note 2, then I swapped to the S4 because I love having the latest and greatest. Well, the S4 was the latest, but not the greatest. I gave it a whole week but I ended up giving the S4 to my wife and went back to my Note 2. Once you go big you can't go back. The S4's amazing 1080p screen resolution and the finished edges were the only thing I missed going back to the Note 2. The Note 3 is going to be the perfect phone for me.

I won't be leaving the S4, as I'm a multiple device person. I will be adding the Note 3 to the line-up. Now I just have to plan the active line-up and the bench line-up.

Had 3 galaxy s4 since june, all are crap! ATT will send me note 3 next week. so excited! went to the att store this morning and feel the phone. it's not really huge coz it's slim.

Had my S4 since release date and so far no problems but as with all electronics it varies.

Ditto on the s4. mine is kind of a clunker, but glad the gf who is inheriting it doesn't mind!
