Does mms count towards the data plan

So to be specific, I have a family plan with unlimited text and calls and 1gb of data, mainly cause I use Wi-Fi and only turn on data for emergency. Recently I found out that for some reason my dad can only use mms while mobile data is on. I have Wi-Fi on and connected but doesn't work. So with 1gb of data, does the mms count towards that 1gig? Whether downloading that pic or just send/receive?

That's a good question. MMS requires mobile data (it won't send over voice signal or wi-fi), so I would think that it does use your mobile data allotment.

I agree with B.Diddy. I would be shocked if MMS messages did not eat from your data plan when you're using a cellular network.
