Does nobody want this??

I'm trying to wait a little longer to upgrade. I think the problem with the Incredible 2 is a lack of 4G. I think it's a great phone if you want global or you are planning on upgrading to the newest 4G phone when it comes to your area.

Since you are asking if people are interested in this phone, I would say yes, most people are because it is a great phone. But for an Android forum most people are looking at dual-core, 4g, biggest screen, etc.

I am going with an iphone.

jk I have another year and my dinc is still going strong. I rooted to just get rid of bloatware, screen capture etc with no custom rom.
I keep trying launchers but always go back to sense.

I don't want a small tablet next to my ear. I want this phone size until I am 60.

I was going to get this, but if it doesn't release with 2.3 and Sense 3.0 I wil probably pass. Especially if the Incredible is supposedly receiving 2.3 in the Summer anyway. I will probably hold off for the Galaxy S2.

s2 looks pretty awesome

I have been patiently waiting on this phone for a while now. I have an old LG Dare and I'm trying to wait for this phone to come out over the original DInc. I'm having a hard time wanting to get this phone when there is constant chatter about dual-core, and then the video for the DX2 comes out today.

Any suggestions or thoughts on what I should do in the next few days or weeks?

Father went from a Dare to a storm to the original Dinc and LOVES it.
So the Dinc2 would be great but my original does everything I need. I don't see a need for LTE anytime soon.

I have really enjoyed playing with the DInc in the stores over any of the Moto devices. The T-Bolt is nice, but I don't need LTE because I'm fine with 3G and then using Wi-Fi when at home and school (teacher).

Patient and spend the $150 (still have the ole $50 for new phone) on the DInc2 or $50 for an original DInc that is getting Gingerbread this summer?

Loving this dinc. Just bought it yesterday, man it puts my Droid to shame!

If I didn't get my Thunderbolt I'd get this phone! Looks awesome, and I like that it's a world phone too.

I'm getting this, i think it looks awesome and it comes out on my birthday.(if the rumors are true)

I have the TB, until tomorrow that is I sold it. I can say from a hardware specs standpoint the TB is super fast and so will the DInc2. Internal storage space seems lacking on both and yes you get an microSD card but still its lacking.

Its got the looks and the speed, but my concern is the long haul run. I'm torn between the DInc2 and the DX2. I guess on Thursday I will get to play with the DInc2 and then wait for the DX2 before deciding.

I will be waiting for the online order page to drop

Want this phone nowwwww, so sick of my BB-S2

Just curious, have you ever used that S2 outside the U.S.? Did you have a hard time getting VZW to unlock the SIM?

Use it all the time out of the States, currently in Qatar using it

I asked them to unlock and they will usually do one a year, have used a local SIM once or twice, but hardly use it for voice....I like the deal of data being $65 a month and it is convinient to use almost any country I am in

Its pretty easy to get it unlocked. I just stop in the day or two before I leave the country with my BB Tour and they pop the card out and activate the number on it. I did try to have them do it online one time at the airport though when I didn't have time to stop in to the store. That didn't work. I don't think the lady understood what I wanted to do. But if you just swing into a vzw store, it takes about 5 minutes for them make it international. There is also a number that you can call that should be able to unlock it for you (I didn't have that number with me when I was trying to get it unlocked so I don't know how easily that works)

Still get tagged with outrageous roaming fees though. had a $450 bill after a 2 week stint in UK and Belgium.

I was planning to get the unlock code the same day the phone arrives - I need to be sure the phone can be unlocked. Are you saying that we can't leave the SIM card 'unlocked' while using the phone here in the U.S.?

That roaming fee is unbelievable -- did you just happen to pick the wrong pre-paid service while abroad? At those rates, you might as well just pay Verizon for their high-priced coverage. hehehe

If you mean the $65 unlimited data global roaming, that plan is no longer offered. Global data from verizon is now VERY expensive.

Oh it isn't??? Hmmm, funny that I am still paying that right now and have been for awhile

Tblot and Regulator, seems you two are talking about two different things. TBolt is referring to unlocking to use a SIM from a local provider in a different country, which is a simple call to VZW Global CS and as long as you are in good standing and explain you may be in an area that won't have an affiliate's coverage....they should give you the code. Regulator, you are just talking about them enabling your account for International service with Vodafone and other VZW affiliates overseas.

I have done this quite a bit, as I said I am in Qatar right now using my BB S2, and this is my sixth extended trip overseas and using VZW's global plan

He may mean that new subscribers can't get the deal you're currently enjoying.

You've described my intentions accurately. :) Thanks!

Currently own a barely-usable LG eNv Touch, and I thought long and hard about jumping to this phone. In the end, I didn't want to be tied to a 3G, single-core phone for the next 20 months.

Had Verizon not eliminated the one-year contract, maybe I'd give this a try but with things changing so rapidly in the wireless communications area, I'm not willing to lock myself in to a behind-the-times handset. Yeah, right now, 4G and dual-core aren't stunning game-breakers but I'm not willing to shut myself out of whatever advantages they end up bringing to the table over the contract period.
