Does Samsung Pay activate MST and NFC at same time?

Could my customers activate MST or NFC only?
What if they activate Samsung Pay and put it between card reader and NFC reader?

Samsung Pay is not available in my country, but I need to prepare for it...

To use either option requires a user to hold the phone in different positions, so there isn't a chance of using both at the same time. I can't speak about ALL credit card terminals, but the ones I've used have NFC on one part of the terminal and the MST on another, with some having external NFC contacts attached to the top of the unit.

The all in one machines on the counter have issues picking up the nfc signal when using for Mst. Those machines are only about 3 inches wide with the swipe channel right beside the nfc spot. Of course the machine doesn't expect both signals. Problem is that nfc is on in the machine but not active for payment and will give an error if nfc gets picked up before Mst does. We have Sheetz stores here with nfc in the pumps but they are not activated for payment but will register my phone. Never understood why it wasn't used.
