So it's my first time getting an unlocked version from Samsung.com. Does anyone know if the unlocked version of the S23 Ultra supports T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling?
I have factory unlocked devices, N20 Ultra & S22 Ultra on T-Mobile. Wifi calling works on both models.
I doubt if that would change on the s23 line.
But as @jtfwTX said, you can always flash T-Mobile firmware version if need be.
That is so awesome it works!! I would definitely buy the unlocked version in the future knowing that now!!
I like how you blacked out your wifi name. What would strangers do with your wifi name ?!
It's nothing particular to T-Mobile but applies to any carrier. Basically some people may have very bad signal at work, home or some other spots they frequent. In those situations having WiFi calling will be of a huge help. You might say why not switch carriers if you don't get coverage. May be they don't get coverage for other carriers as well or may be they like everything else with that carrier and want to stay with them etc.I've seen a lot of questions asking for confirmation of wifi calling. May I ask, what is the big benefit of wifi calling?
I understand what it is.. ...making calls over wifi. I guess I just don't understand why it is such a valued feature. I remeber trying it out many years ago and thinking it doesn't really seem any different than cellular calling. But I've never been a tmobile customer.
What am I missing?

PS: personally rarely use WiFi calling that's because I get great coverage at home/work and other places I frequently visit.
