Does the EVO have a LED Notification?

Based on this post on the Android Central Homepage...it looks like we finally answered the LED question:

I'd say that's a red LED in the upper left corner of the earpiece.

I believe that is just an artifact from the camera flash...

<if that was sarcasm, sorry, my detector is on the fritz... ;) >

SWEET! So we know it has multicolors, Orange and Green...

My life is complete...

If it just has those two, you won't be able to designate them. Orange is charging, green charged/ notifications

Nope...it wasn't sarcasm...and that would be the weirdest flash artifact I've ever seen if that is indeed what it is. Flash artifacts aren't usually that "colored"...

I will tag on 1 more Pre user just waiting to jump ship...

HOWEVER, I am skeptical about the pricing plans that Sprint speaks of. I pay 69.99 a month and I can't see myself spending 80+ for wimax with wifi since i dont need it. I want Sprint to just give me the phone with the plan I have for 69.99 a month. I dont even live in a 4G area...

Here is to hoping Sprint does right and makes the more money plans, OPTIONAL!

Does the notification light work while charging / fully charged but still sitting on the charger?

No?

From what I've seen no. I see no reason why it can't blink orange while charging and blink green when charged, if you have an email waiting. Someone was talking about an app you can install if you're rooted. It would be nice if someone would create an easier app to install for the app catalog that would fix this. Also, it seems to that even when not charging the light stops flashing after a certain amount of time. This is one of the only couple of reason that I miss my Pre.

I've noticed that the LED stops flashing after a bit as well. Would love to figure out how to keep it going until I acknowledge the notification.

I agree and would LOVE to have the LED notification flash continue flashing or blinking until it is physically acknowledged or cleared by me. I believe that there is an App in the Market called "Missed Call" that would override the native (stock) settings by allowing you to pick the time the notification repeats whereas you have no options of the sort with the standard settings. I also recall that if you go with this App, you would have to turn off all the stock settings to allow the App to work properly. If anyone tries it, chime back in...

On a second note, does anyone know what the "pre-determined" time frame is for the notification flash before it times itself out? Or if there is a way of extending the notification without using a 3rd party App?

Thanks, I'll check it out. But, please confirm that stock Android behaves this way so I know that I don't have any conflicts with other apps.

Do you know what that time limit is before the flashing times-out? I came from the Pre and appreciated the constant notifications...
