Does the FM Radio use any data?

I know this is a dumb question but is the FM Radio a stand alone Radio? Does it use any data or is it just like using a portable FM radio?

Its just like using a portable radio. Its pulling the radio over the air with your headphones as an antenna.
Which means there is a tiny FM tuner inside these things.

Pretty cool to listen to the radio and saving data by not using an internet radio app.
