I bought a Galaxy Nexus in Taiwan and was wondering if I could use it in the US or will there be any problems that I might experience - either with changing the settings on the phone to make it work or with finding a network provider?

My phone is rooted, if that matters.

It should work if you pop in your SIM. If not, any GSM carrier should be able to assist your with setting it up.

It has the bands for 21mbps HSPA+ on both T-Mobile and AT&T (and all MVNO carriers like Simple and Straight talk). You may have some APN issues but for the most part it will sort itself when you put the SIM in.

Wait... Don't you have to "subsidy unlock" the phone before it will accept the SIM card from another carrier?

I have had a European GSM Nexus on T-Mobile and couldn't be happier. Works great. Like everyone said, It'll also work on AT&T because it's pentaband 3G (having basically all 3G frequencies used on the planet).

I'm on Tmobile US and it works lovely

I agree, it's better than the CDMA one from Verizon
