no. You have 3 modes:

1. klick homebutton to turn display on only
2. raise your arm to instantly show watch
3. raise arm to show last screen

I would be surprised as MasterElwood states (I use option 2) so I don't need it always on, it just displays when I raise my arm to look at the time, alerts, etc. No need for it to always be on.

I believe it is all Android phones (might have a specific version though)
