Does the S21 Ultra come with a pre-installed screen protector?

I actually don't know. I am very careful about ensuring there is nothing else in any pocket I put my phone in. I once really badly scratched up the camera on a phone I put in my pocket with my keys. It was only in there for about 5 minutes but it was enough to completely cover the lens in scratches.

It's frustrating as the factory fitted screen protector is such a good fit I don't think anything I replace it with will fit as well

Rumor has it Samsung USA ceased applying factory screen protectors on their devices for the USA market due to too many customer complaints and returns. Basically the punters over here would find a slight nick on the screen protector then return the device or demand another screen protector from Samsung. Absolutely comical.

Same here. I ordered my unlocked S21 Ultra direct from Samsung in January and just received it the other day. Other than the packaging film with the tab that you initially remove right out of the box there was no screen protector installed. This is a US version.

My old Galaxy S10 had one from the factory, so I know what they look like. My S21 Ultra didn't have one. It does now but I bought one off Amazon for $13.

Interesting that yours did not come with one. I just received an S21 Ultra on Friday and it did come with a pre-installed screen protector. I would attach a photo, but I am always hesitant to remove the case once I have it installed. Because that is where I tend to mess up the pre-installed ones.

Is yours one of the BTO colors rather than the standard black/silver? Perhaps that makes a difference. Mine is a black, unlocked, US version.

Yes, mine is a Phantom Navy. I have heard that none of the US versions come with screen protectors because the US customers are too picky about tiny bubbles, etc., and Samsung decided it wasn't worth the headache.

That, I am afraid, is an urban myth.

The global, Exynos, models have screen protectors that are fitted so well during the build that users are posting to ask if they have one fitted.

How do glass screen protectors fare on the S21 ultra?

I know in the past they were a no go for curved samsung phones.
