I liked it also but it's been awhile since Samsung got rid of it .

Didn't realize the OP said notifications. It's been so many phones since that was introduced that I forgot lol but with the edge panels you can still get notifications. Albeit not the same, but it's something.

Unfortunately, they got rid of some of the most useful Edge Panels like Edge Notification, and Edge Clock when they did some software updates around the Note8/Note9. I remember having them on the S7 (Note7 replacement) and I believe Note8. I never had the Note9, but I remember losing those panels around the time I had the Note8. Still, the most annoying thing Samsung has done IMO was get rid of things their devices did well for no reason.

That's the only thing that didn't transfer over for me was this one edge panel with app shortcuts. I was trying one time to put everything I use a lot of on the edge panel to make my home screen look nice and I always forget and never use it. So I made an extra blank home screen and the only thing on it now is a shortcut to here and my regular screen is next to it with all my folders and apps. But I think I remember that side panel was it on the 7 Edge?

My edge panel didn't transfer to my Flip 4, but it did to my S23U. I think it may be a bit flakey.

Pretty sure they ditched that feature when they came out with the AOD. They moved the edge clock feature to the AOD settings at that point.
