Does the S8 have a brighter screen?

Is it any brighter than the S7?

I read that it was capable of HDR content like the Note7, so yes, it's brighter. By definition, HDR screens must be capable of 1000 nits of brightness and 10-bit color depth. The S7 was not HDR capable.
Mobile HDR may only require 550 nits. Not 100% sure. However, here's an excerpt I just found on the Infinity display...
