Does the Xperia Z2 support Quick Charge 2.0?

I searched online, but could not find an answer. Does anyone know if it supports Quick Charge 2.0, or even the old 1.0?

Isn't Quick Charge is with USB 3.0? If it is, then the Z2 does not as it only comes with a standard MicroUSB port.

No, quick charge 2 can work with normal micro usb. The Z2 tablet does support quick charge 2 but I haven't been able to confirm it on theZ2 smartphone yet.

Still don't know, but using the sony charger and a magnetic cradle I got on ebay for a tenner it charges pretty damn fast.

Actually it has the hardware necessary to achieve Quick Charge 2.0 charging speeds. But it doesn't mean that Sony has enabled it though!

I have a 2.0 charger (picked it up on Amazon) because I thought it was compatible. Seems the tablet is but not the phone. Either way the charger does charge very fast but not 2.0 fast. You should know that the quality of cable does count. I've had a few cheapo ones and always have better luck with OEM ones. (seems there is something in the charging head that determines how much to "pull" from the wall socket)

Yeah, quick charge 2.0 doesn't seem to be working for me either. Bummer.

Plus it's not any faster at all. I think that may be because I'm using a magnetic non-OEM charger head though.
