Never mind I finally found it. There is a light but sounds like it cannot be used to notify email, sms etc only preprogrammed functions.

I'd be curious to know if it can be user controlled with light flow.

I just hope Sony sticks to 16/9 ratio but I wouldn't mind if they dump the lcd for oled FLAT screen. I just noticed zr3 is 16/8. Another friggin lemming. I hate long skinny screens.
