does this mean android wear 2.0 is delayed again?

Not sure if it is, as I have not seen anyone else in US get it yet, and only 1 or 2 in other countries

I sideloaded 2.0 a couple days ago and the AW version was at 2.0.0.159006699. I received an AW software update (from the watch Play Store this time, not phone) and now I'm at 2.0.0.159861318. The build number is the same NXH20E.

I got mine connected to WiFi and charged, however, it had not started to download any OTA yet.

I have the same specs on mine. In in the U.S. and as far as I know it has not downloaded an update yet. Unless I missed it somehow.

What mdw refers to is not AW 2.0 firmware OTA. It is AW update using the watch play store once you updated to AW 2.0. I just checked mine. Sure enough, an update is waiting for me.

I turned off the auto update in the play store on the watch. That's probably why I'm aware of the update. I have to manually update apps. I prefer it. I still have the 1.5 version of Play Music, with shuffle, and don't want to lose this feature by allowing the 2.0 update. It's possible it updated automatically on yours.

I am suddenly experiencing horrible battery life. I can't get through an 8 hour work day on one full charge. So far I have tried:
1. Disable google fit
2. Turn off wifi
3. Turn off cellular

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Are you using a power hungry 3rd party watchface?

3rd part yes. Power Hungry, I dont think so. I was using a face with weather, fit, battery level, etc for a while when I switched to 2.0. I disabled (or at least I tried to) Google fit and lg health because I didn't need the constant heart rate monitoring going on. I got decent battery life. Then recently that all came back and it seems I can't stop it from turning on the green heart rate monitor and battery life is terrible now.
So... I switched back to a plain (no indicators) 3rd party face I used with 1.5 for a year with great battery life. It seems the heart rate monitoring isn't happening with that face but I'm getting terrible battery life on that too.
Lastly, for no reason, my screen is set to auto lock because I have Android pay. The watch no longer auto locks or asks for a passcode.

I found most 3rd party watch faces are power hungry. But some apps you installed might be a problem as well. I wish there is a way to see which app uses most battery like on the phone.
As for passcode, it only prompts you when you took it off your wrist. If you don't take it off, no need to ask for passport. This is inline with how Apple watch operates.

The 3rd part watch face worked fine before AW 2.0. Is that something that woukd change on the new platform?

I guess I may need to start deleting apps to see which Is the culprit.

As for the passcode, it does not even ask me to enter the passcode when I put the watch on the first time as it used to.

Lastly, since I sideload AW 2.0, am I able to restore the watch to a fresh install of 2.0 through the watch or would I need to go through the sideload process again?

The password is only prompted when you first touch or swipe on the watch screen.

As for AW2.0, it is a firmware update. So whenever you do a factory reset, it is back to the clean aw 2.0. It is not an app.

My watch updated itself ans everything miraculously seeks fixed. I'm not going to complain.
