Caved in and ordered the 16GB S5 instead of waiting for the 32GB :p

Does Verizon include a new Sim card with the full price Galaxy S5 or will I have to use my old one from the S4?

I believe so, It should be pre installed

Are these latest verizon phones are global phones. Can I use them in other places like India once they are unlocked (Like ATT phones).Considering these latest phones are very good and powerful, they can be passed on to family members in other countries down the line when we moved on to different phones.

Most of Verizon's current 4GLTE smartphones are factory sim unlocked. You would need to check on the specific device, though most have GSM radios which would allow them to be used on GSM networks both domestically and internationally.

Thanks for the help. I have option to get S5 on either with ATT or Verizon. Wondering which one is better in terms of future use in Asian countries with only GSM carriers.

You would have to get the att one unlocked. But in terms of gsm, I think both offer similar international support.

Verizon uses CDMA. Most... if not all foreign countries use GSM... like AT&T and T-mobile use.

I don't see why it wouldn't work abroad. Verizon's site says it's "global ready." I took my 2 year old Verizon Droid RAZR Maxx to Europe last summer. All I had to do was pop in a local SIM card and it worked like a charm; didn't even have to request Verizon to unlock it for international use.

Verizon uses both cdma and lte. LTE is essentially gsm technology. Most of Verizon's 4GLTE smartphones are factory sim unlocked.

Thanks for all the information. So, it is better to get Verizon one as it comes with unlocked GSM. It can be used without any unlock code. In case of ATT, I need to specifically get unlock code. Does ATT provide unlock codes upon request.
Thanks

The Verizon phones are cdma but they use lte with a sim card, it is possible change cdma and use only gsm with the sim card?
