Does your capactive button lights stay on all the time?

Is it normal that mine seem to turn off periodically? Is there a way to have the lights always on or always off?

If it stayed on all the time it would kill your battery. As far as I know it is normal them to go out when your screen goes dim.

it is based on ambient light, the sensor is right above the big "V", you can put a piece of black tape over it or perhaps get a dark marker and darken over it.
