Doesn't play music through an AUX cable.

So, I'm listening to music through my headphones, no problem. I'm listening through the speaker, no problem. But when I want to plug it into the 3.5mm AUX cable in my car, or to connect it to my stereo, nothing happens. Volume is turned up all the way. The music app/spotify/youtube is playing. Other phones and devices play through the same cables.

It's just when connecting to my car or stereo. I'm new to Android, but I've tried what I could figure out, and I've spent hours searching online for people with similiar problems. Any ideas what it could be?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that other phones and devices play music through the same car stereo using the same cable?

Sorry for the silly suggestion, but make sure the aux cable's plug is pushed in all the way into the phone's jack. Some jacks can be pretty tight, making the user cautious about pushing it in too far.

Also make sure your radio is on the AUX channel.
