Dolby Atmos

quick question is this something you enable on the s9/+ or does it come always enabled?

Cool, then try to keep your comments on topic. Or start a new thread with what you would like to talk about.

OP: Samsung has said they will not be providing support for this in Oreo for the S8/+ ... as of now I haven't found any other way to add it either. Maybe one day, if anyone is working on it... but I highly doubt it.

I kind've figured they wouldn't, but wish they would give us the choice. I'm sure they're concerned about it maybe damaging the earpiece from too much volume, but it should be our choice. Can do it with root, but that would mess with other things that I use by tripping Knox.

My #1 gripe on my S8 plus (and last couple phones - all Samsung - Note 4, Note 7, S7) is the audio quality. I have nice V-Moda headphones and can't get great sound out of any music app, equalizer app or the stock Samsung player. I've heard about this Dolby Atmos app but not willing to root my phone. Hoping the Note 9 (most likely my next phone) will include a quad DAC or something like this Atmos to get better audio.
