Don't know is this is actually cool or not, but an idea for a lock screen.

My attempt at drawing it...
Basically instead on the lockscreen circle. You swipe the Navy bar (that would have some cool design to unlock) and then as you swipe the screen becomes your homescreen and the swipe design becomes the actual nav bar. Feel free to shut me down haha

I don't even use the lock screen anymore. I've had it disabled for a while now. Zero pocket dials either.

Kind of the opposite... but I wish there was a way to press and hold a button while screen was on> prompting voice mic> then allowing you to "speak" in the form of lock you wish for the phone for the next lock screen. Ex. Someone asks to see your phone and you press and hold volume down, beeps, you say "facelock" then hand it to the person. Bam... it won't unlock for their face! Psycho girlfriends worst nightmare

I never use a lockscreen either.. Seems like a pointless extra step to me.

I been kinda brainwashed into using a lockscreen my whole time using android. After reading your comments, I turned the lockscreen off and have been using the phone for a day without one.
Its really cool without one. The 3rd party rom devs put some cool stuff on the lockscreen but all the info there is one my homescreen anyway so going straight to the home is nice. I have a five target slider unlock but heck they are readily accessible on the homescreen. I guess I'll be running it w/o a lockscreen from now on. Thx

Sry op ur design is interesting and all but ditching the lockscreen does it for me.

I really liked Widgetlocker a lock screen replacement. I could place widgets shortcuts and custom sliders all over the lock screen. However when I started flashing nightly ROMs I started disabling the lock screen. I don't know how long I've been running without a lockscreen but I prefer it.

OP check out Widgetlocker
