Don't want to use Google Voice Number!

I set up my Google user with a Google voice number to use when I traveled out of the states several months ago. Now no matter what I do I see that number showing on my Verizon bill as minutes on my cell phone. The calls I make to other verizon cell phone numbers show up as minutes used against my plan with the Google phone #.

Is there a way to keep that number from being used at all on my cell? It seems like once you have a cell number associated with your gmail account, there is no way to remove it.

I'm running the Community ROM V1.3, my Call settings are Voicemail service "My carrier"

Thanks!

Open Google Voice app, press the Menu soft key, select More, select Settings, select Making Calls.

Here you have four options: 1) use GV to make calls 2) do not use GV to make any calls 3) only use GV for international calls 4) ask every time I make a call

You'll probably want the second option.

I'm curious why the google voice number is showing up on your bill. I thought it connected through 3G or Wi-fi, only using data.
