Firstly, this forum is the busiest on AC. A testament to how passionate folks are to a phone we don't even have yet.
I love how you can refresh a thread and there is like 5 new posts to read. Never been on a forum with so much activity. Isn't activity what makes a good forum? Other slower forums have replies spaced hours apart, yet here you get 10 replies in 5 minutes. The charge forum has a new thread every 3 or 4 days or so...here its like 5 or more everyday.

Secondly, I love the spirited back and forth conversations. Be it insults or praise or whatever, its just great. Some of the threads are a rehash of previous threads but I don't care...every rumor is a good rumor to me.

I don't get involved in the more heated conversations just because I might put my foot in my mouth and I am simply not informed enough, and I would get flamed to a crisp. But suffice to say I read most every one of them and its just fun.

All this for a phone we don't even have in our hands yet. Imagine when we actually have it...WOW

Sometimes when I get frustrated here I go lurk around the RAZR,Bionic, and Rezound Forums. Then I feel better. :D

yup. and I can't wait for all the: negative talk, the positive talk, the RAZR, ReZound, and Iphone 4S users hating on the G-Nex, the reviews, the bugs found, the talk of google updates to ICS and how we're gonna be the first to get them, the battery woes, etc. but most of all, i can't wait to see what the developers come up with (ROMS/Kernels). it's going to be fun.

I guess it's all part of the experience. I've never got caught up in a phone like this before. My previous Nexus phones were bought after they were released and, I had already watched several in-depth reviews vs. other phones.

The closest to this experience is the Motorola Xoom. Everyone knew all the specs but, no one had seen actual hands-on of the device besides a demo video on the device. It was very frustrating. With this phone we've seen a lot of hands-on but, not of the model from Verizon and, it's still not concrete on what the capacity is or battery it will have.

This is certainly the busiest tech forum I've been involved with. I wonder how it will be when we finally start receiving tracking numbers for those of us who order online.

To be honest I'm growing tired of all the pretend release dates. I keep checking the forum hoping for a link to Verizon's webpage with a release date.

Indeed. I enjoy reading everyone's comments, ridiculous or useful ... all entertaining. I don't post very often, but read every thread. I give more "thanks" than anything else.
It's all very interesting to say the least.

I have also browsed the Razr forums. Different mindset over there. I don't think I have ever posted over there though. I don't care for the Razr at all, but I wouldn't go into their forum and say that. I'd feel rude. I have no problem telling them that if they come bashing the Nexus in our forum, however ;-)

It is definitely busy here in the Galaxy Nexus forum, and like you, I am digging it. Good times.

You do that. I'm going to read the 1,500,294 threads on here that question what the release date is. Then I'm going to complain that the GN isn't out already. Then I'm going to complain that Verizon botched the launch. Then I'm going to make a poll asking if I should buy the Rezound or Razr.

When the release date is given, then I'll say that I'm going to wait for the first quad-core phone.

EDIT: Snap! Editing the message gets rid of the likes! I edited the message to put the post I was referring to. Oh wells.

It's funny because a lot of other forums - with any info - lead back to this one.

I especially like the sharp increase in customer service rep bashing chatter. :-D

Indeed. AC is the [clever adjective here]!

I definitely have more respect for AC's reporting. Less volume, higher quality. Credit to Mr. Nickinson.
