double delivery of every yahoo and msn message...annoying!

since day 1 my phone has delivered 2 copies of every email in my yahoo and msn accounts, it really irritating. Is there a known fix for this?

are you using 2 different email programs, i.e. stock email and Maildroid/K-9?

nope, just the stock stuff. I am rooted with most bloat frozen, but its been doing this since before it was rooted.

ok another silly question then, do you have 2 duplicate entries in your accounts section?

nope, and I have a couple gmail accounts that work fine.

ok... might be factory reset time.

I was hoping there would another solution...if I do a factory reset can I restore my backup, or do you think that would just restore the problem as well? I really don't want to set everything up again.

Are you rooted? If so you can use titanium backup to restore apps and data.

yep, rooted and have TB backed up to my sd-ext.

So then yeah, you should be good. Your apps should re-download from the market automatically from what I'm told, and you can restore data (i.e. settings) from TB.
