Double Tap Issues

Random issue: double tap to wake and raise to wake completely stopped working. Power cycled multiple times, cleared cache, nothing. Then it randomly started working again. Anyone else experience the issue?

Ditto. stopped working about an hour ago. Except mine has NOT started working. Tried a reboot and switched on and off. nothing so far. Also none of the quick gestures for camera and flash light are working either.

Weird right? I don't know what caused it. The double tap uses the accelerometer but it worked just fine outside of that gesture.

Spoke too soon. My screen just freaked out and was randomly selecting things on it's own with no input from me. Only thing that would fix it is a reboot, but we'll see how long that lasts.

Double tap to wake is finicky for me too, as it was on the OP6. So far I find tapping lower on the screen works more reliably.

Double Tap to Wake was always funky on my OP6T too. I just hit the power button. I've had it crop up once or twice on the 7 Pro so far as well as some other touch issues. Nothing major, but it is a little annoying when it happens.

I would say it stopping working completely and not coming back except randomly is pretty major

Spoke to OnePlus technical support. Clear the phone cache seems to work! YAY!
1. Turn the phone off.
2. Hold Power and Volume Down
3. English (or pick any language that you want)
4. Wipe data & cache
5. Wipe cache
6. Yes
7. Reboot

Mine did that too. Worked fine one day, then all of the sudden tap to wake will stop working. I read this on another forum and it worked for me. Just open the front facing camera and close it again. Works fine after that.

Did that and was still broken. Contacted TMobile and they are returning it no questions asked.

Well, it's somewhat comforting that it isn't just me having the double tap to wake issues. It's a coin toss for me on whether or not it works.


Raise to wake I haven't had any problems with though, it's been flawless.
