double tap to sleep

Is there an option, other than using Nova launcher, to double tap to get the screen to sleep? Switched from Nova to stock launcher, finding it's a bit smoother with gestures, and the only thing I'm missing thus far is the double tap to sleep. Or something like it.

Suggestions?

The last I knew, no. You had to use a third party launcher. I use Nova myself for that reason, and the swipe down for notifications.

Interesting. Just out of curiosity, is this somehow better than just pushing the power button?

I don't recall being able to do this with stock. I believe that's definitely a Nova thing.. and possibly a LG one ?

It was definitely a thing on my LG G3! I loved it!

It's a bit easier frankly. Even if not a major thing. Also I guess I've gotten used to it from using Nova for so long.

I downloaded screen lock ro screen off and lock app. I put a widget button on my home screen, when you press it the screen shuts off. Been using it for a couple years and love it!

For me, I look at it as less wear and tear on what is most likely the most used physical button.
