Double tap won't work to open my screen, it works to shut it off.

Today I opened my open LG 5 screen by double tapping like usual, but 2 horizontal white lines appeared and are now stuck on my screen, even in games. The double tap to open my screen will not work anymore. It does however work to shut it down.
Question is, where in my settings do I find the option to turn double tapping back on??

Try safe mode if it works

Type in settings search bar double tap and see if it shows up that way

Sounds like the screen is damaged, as evidenced by the two white lines not disappearing. I know with earlier LG phones, there is a separate low power processor of sorts dedicated to detecting double taps to wake up. It's possible that connection was damaged as well, which would explain why other inputs and double tapping to turn off are not affected.

That settings shouldn't be able to deactivate itself like you're thinking.
