Doubletwist question

This is a question about doubletwist for those that use it, when I sync my rezound for music, it takes a very long time, I am talking a few hours here. I do have 5.6 gigs of music, but it never took this long with my D1, the D1 would sync in less then a few minutes. The fist sync took several hours to finish, then I had to do it again as I tried to get it to store the music on the SD card rather then the internal memory. It still ended up on the internal memory. Any ideas?

My suggestion, forget doubletwist...upload your music to the Google cloud(if you have unlimited data) and move on. Also, if the timestamp on your music is updated then you will re-upload the entire file rather than skipping it.

I do have unlimited date, but I know nothing about the Google cloud service.

I'm not the ideal reapondant about this but cloud storage is simply personal online file storage. It's a nice way to free up phone storage. They offer it as a monthly $$ service. Not sure if Google Drive(cloud) is live or available, yet. Others like Amazon and apps like Dropbox, in the market, offer this service. Dropbox offers 2gb free and would bill you $9.99 a month, basic plan, for 50gb of storage. Only problem w/ it is you have to have an availble wireless connection to access it. Offline use isn't an option, to the best of my knowledge. I don't use it for just that reason. Unless you use storage heavily I think your better off waiting for official ICS. That storage issue has proven troublesome in GB across the board on many HTC devices. These Sense based issues have not surfaced on either custom ICS roms I've used or any I've read about, yet. So unless they royally botch the "official" ICS rom under skinned Sense 3.6, just sit tight.

I was referring to Google Music(now Play Music), where you can store literally thousands of songs for free and Google even gives you free music(you pick from several genres).

My bad, now you see why I said "not the ideal respondant". I never considered usiing the GM service b/c I was under the impression that storage was only available for music purchased from within the srore or songs available to download at no cost. Is GM cloud storage open to uploads from outside sources? That's very unexpected news but way cool if it is.

Yup, I have like 4000 songs from my personal library uploaded to Google Music. It's wonderful to not have to worry about carrying them around. You can stream from anything with a browser or the Google Music App.

If it works, it works good. Google Music has a limit of uploading only 20,000 songs - probably not an issue for most, but only half of my library and I haven't been able to pick which ones are uploaded (first come, first serve - none of my new stuff is there). The other problem I have is that, even though I have unlimited data, I'm not always in areas with good enough reception to stream music.

I put a small amount of music on my Rezound, but mostly use my 160GB mp3 player.

How is it when you are driving, as this is about the only time I use it. Also, does it require $g or can it work off of 3G.

That's good 411 to know. I'd rather not just jump in the pool just to discover existing quirks w/ the service on my own.

It works off of 3g. It caches the song you are trying to play pretty efficiently. You can also make music available offline. Pick a couple albums you play a lot and you can play them offline without a connection. Google music is free and awesome.
